A FORMER Ipswich schoolgirl is to get the surprise of her life at her 40th birthday party.
Debbie Bruce's family are arranging the surprise bash and trying to track down her old schoolchums to invite them too.
Debbie, who is now married and lives in Guernsey in the Channel Islands, left Chantry High School in 1978 and then worked at Midland Bank in Tavern Street.
Her family are keen to trace any friends who remember her, including Belinda Ablitt and a woman called Ursula who was Debbie's bridesmaid and worked with her at the bank.
The party will be held at an Ipswich hotel in January.
If you can help, telephone Pauline Bruce on 01394 610484.
