GIANT pumpkins have helped raise around £2,000 for charity.
The Ipswich Allotment Holder's Association's annual pumpkin growing competition raised the cash for East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
The biggest pumpkin weighed in at 89.5kg, while youngster Charlie Clack, eight, scooped a prize for the best decorated pumpkin with a Harry Potter style creation.
John Greenacre, the event's organiser, said: “It went really well. There was a good attendance and lots of pumpkins.
“There was a wide variety of decorated pumpkins which was lots of fun.
“The idea was to get people into growing things and raise money to give something back to the community.”
