A TRUCKER escaped injury today after his lorry overturned on the A14 near Nacton.
The single vehicle accident happened at about 11.35am on the Felixstowe bound carriageway just before the Nacton turn-off.
The seven and a half tonne lorry ploughed into the gravel before ending up on its side.
The driver managed to free himself from his cab and did not require hospital treatment. No other vehicle was involved in the crash.
Part of the road was blocked but traffic was able to pass the crash scene with care although delays were caused along the Wherstead turn off for more than an hour.
Emergency services are believed to have righted the lorry and cleared up at the scene by 12.30pm.
