Train passengers travelling between Ipswich and Manningtree and Norwich and London are facing delays on the rails this morning due to a signalling fault.

According to Greater Anglia, trains running through Ipswich railway station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised until 8am today.

A spokesman for the train firm said: “A signalling equipment fault at Bentley between Ipswich and Manningtree is delaying trains by up to 15 minutes with some cancellations and short notice alterations.

“Network Rail staff are on site and will complete repairs as soon as possible.”

The Ipswich rail services affected by the signalling fault are:

6.52am Ipswich to London Liverpool Street due 8.13am - will no longer call at Ipswich or Manningtree

7.38 Ipswich to London Liverpool Street due 9.01 - will no longer call at Ipswich or Manningtree

8.00 London Liverpool Street to Ipswich due 9.21 - train delayed by six minutes

8.06 London Liverpool Street to Ipswich due 9.26 - train delayed by five minures

There are also reported delays and cancellations on lines between Norwich and London Liverpool Street.

8.00am Norwich to London Liverpool Street due 9.58am - train delayed by five minutes

9.00am Norwich to London Liverpool Street due 10.55am - will no longer call at Norwich, Diss and Stowmarket

9.30am Norwich to London Liverpool Street due 11.19am

9.30am London Liverpool Street to Norwich due 11.27am
