Crash has been cleared but “long delays” remain in the area, stretching back to the Copdock Interchange.
Delays remain this afternoon after a car and a lorry were reportedly involved in the collision on the A14 eastbound carriageway near the Nacton Interchange just after 2pm this afternoon.
A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said that they were called at around 2.05pm to reports of a collision at the Nacton junction on the A14.
The accident took place on the exit off-slip near Ransomes Europark.
Lane one had been closed whilst the incident was dealt with and Suffolk police had used a rolling road block to control traffic.
According to Highways England, the collision involved a HGV and a car. It reported that the car had been on its side and had to be righted.
It added on Twitter: “All lanes open and collision cleared on the #A14 eastbound between J56 and J57 #Suffolk. Recovery complete. Delays remain however back to J55 currently but starting to ease steadily.”
