More than 200 protesters went to the research centre near Occold after a peaceful rally in Diss, Norfolk but more than 20 ignored the police conditions, which allowed them to hold a peaceful demonstration, and tried to get in to the buildings on Saturday.

Three people were then arrested and were taken to Bury St Edmonds police station. One man has been charged with criminal damage and public order offences.

He has been released on bail to return to Bury St Edmonds Magistrates Court on May 7.
