SHE can stay!
Today Mary Martin was told by Home Office officials that she can live in Suffolk for the rest of her days.
The 55-year-old of Trimley St Mary had faced deportation to America on Thursday when immigration officials told her she must go after living in England for seven decades.
Since the Evening Star first broke the story yesterday, she has become a cause celebre with national TV, radio, newspapers taking up her story.
"I want to jump with joy, but I just haven't got the energy after all I've been through these last few days," said Miss Martin.
