In 1984, dozens of people and their canine companions enjoyed taking part in a dog show held at Whitton Sports Centre in Ipswich.
At the sports centre, on Whitton Church Lane, a series of different events, activities and competitions were held for both the dogs and their owners to take part in, with everyone hoping to be crowned best in class and go home with a prize.
The event saw a number of different breeds present on the day, from the smaller daschund and Bichon Frise to greyhounds, beagles and Afghan hounds.
Suffolk residents are known to get fiercely competitive at such events, with attractions like Suffolk Dog Day at Helmingham Hall and All About Dogs at Trinity Park always drawing in large crowds.
