Police appeal after distraction burglary attempt.

An attempted distraction burglary took place in Cardigan Street, Ipswich, on Sunday.

The incident happened at about 6pm when a man and woman called at the home of an elderly woman and asked to use her toilet.

She let them in and they walked around the property – but it is not believed that any items were stolen.

The male is described as between 50 to 70 years old, having a tanned complexion, a full short beard and was approximately 5’8” tall.

The female is described as between 50 to 70 years old, tanned with dark coloured hair, of a large build and wearing a full head scarf.
