Police have released a CCTV image of a man wearing a “distinctive jacket” they would like to speak to following a burglary in Ipswich.

The break-in happened sometime between 9.30-10pm on Tuesday, May 23, at a premises in Felixstowe Road – near the Bixley Road roundabout.

Access was gained via an insecure door and a handbag and mobile phones were stolen.

Police say they are keen to speak to the man pictured, who is wearing a distinctive jacket, in connection with the incident. Officers are appealing for public support to identify him.

Anyone with information, or who knows the identity of the man, is urged to contact Suffolk Constabulary on 101 quoting reference 37025/17. Alternatively people can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Officers are also urging residents to ensure doors are locked and windows are closed, even if you are in another area of the house, to help minimise the risk of being targeted by thieves.
