Forget Dance East, the Willis Building, Cranfield Mill and Endeavour House, take a trip back to Ipswich in the 1960s.
We’re taking a step back in time to when Ransomes was a key employer and the port was bustling with activity.
Alf Ramsey was guiding the Tractor Boys to Football League glory. This was without a doubt an excellent era for Ipswich.
Keep an eye out for the retro look of Fore Street which runs parallel to the modern Waterfront.
The scenes featured in this video, uplaoded to YouTube by The Archive Film Show, shows the town as it used to be, before streets were demolished and office blocks sprung up, paving the way for the 70s.
Trolley buses and cattle markets did not survive the decade, but there will be some scenes that you will recognise.
