A POLISH man found floating in the dock at Ipswich was not murdered, police revealed today.
Bronislaw Backiel, of Cullingham Road, was discovered near Neptune Quay on Sunday evening.
Two men from Ipswich, aged 35 and 38, were arrested on suspicion of murder and later bailed without charge.
However, their bail was today cancelled and no further action will be taken after detectives admitted there were no suspicious circumstances relating to the incident.
A post mortem previously revealed Mr Backiel, 49, had died as a result of drowning.
He was pulled from the water at around 8.30pm on Sunday and pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesman said the death had been passed to the coroner and an inquest would take place in due course.
It is believed Mr Backiel had been living in Suffolk for a number of years with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchild.
