Instead, Ipswich fishmonger Mike Young bought the mighty conger eel to sell on his stall at the town's market.
The 15 kilogramme fish was caught in the English Channel and landed at Newhaven in Sussex before being bought by the Suffolk-based fishmonger and sold on his stall.
And with queues regularly forming since the market moved to its new home on the Cornhill, the eel didn't last long on display!
