Flyers being handed out to young people in Ipswich advertise what's available at the Grow Shop in Norwich Road.

It opened in November and sells gardening equipment including indoor grow lights, soil, nutrients, mushroom kits and a wide range of cannabis seeds, from top-of-the-range Jack Herer variety at £100 to a packet of skunk at £15.

Seeds germinate quickly and plants are ready for harvesting after about eight weeks.

It is not illegal to sell the seeds – which are also freely available over the internet described as "souvenirs", for collectors, bird seed or fish food – but it is against the law to grow them, or sell the finished product.
