TWO women have been indecently assaulted in broad daylight in Bury St Edmunds.
Detectives have today launched a hunt for a white van driving menace as they issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward.
A 52-year-old woman was attacked today at around 11.20am as she walked along St John Street after a man in a small white van stopped to ask directions to Newmarket.
The incident follows a similar incident yesterday when a 36-year-old woman was attacked by a lone man in a small white van at 11am after he stopped to ask directions to the same place.
In both cases the man has been described as white, of slight build, between 25 to 30 years of age. He had short, dark curly hair.
The van is believed to have an orange stripe down the side.
Anyone with information should contact Bury St Edmunds CID on 01284 774 100 or call Crimestoppers on Freephone 0800 555 111.
