Five people were taken to Ipswich Hospital with minor injuries when the lorry skidded on a patch of black ice.

Police at the scene warned the accident could have been far worse as the bus was only just pulling away from picking up passengers and was not travelling very fast.

The accident happened at around 8am today in The Street, Nacton, close to the junction of Saw Mill Lane, as a bus coming from Felixstowe was travelling through the village toward the old A45.
