SEVEN finalists have today been announced for the 59th Annual Felixstowe Drama Festival.
The festival will be held at the Spa Pavilion between May 23 and May 30.
Alan Dix, Festival Director “The drama festival is a popular event in the Spa's annual calendar and we are extremely pleased by the response we received from teams wishing to take part in this year's festival.
“At the event in May audience members can expect a varied programme throughout the week that will appeal to all that includes comedy, drama and a thriller.”
The line up includes:
Roots - Rushmere Players, Ipswich
Someone who'll watch over me - Tryst Theatre, Scotland
The Roses of Eyam - Deben Players, Woodbridge
Absurd Person Singular - Parkside Players, Essex
The Woman who cooked her Husband - Making Waves, Essex
Audience with Murder - Cardiff Players, Wales
Teechers In Yer Space - Preston
Each performance is broken down into four areas - acting, production, stage presentation (set, costume, sound and lighting) and endeavour, originality or attainment.
This years adjudicator is Mike Kaiser who spent more than 30 years teaching English and Drama.
