A drinker who smashed the window of an Ipswich pub must pay £275 in compensations, court costs and a fine.
Joseph Brolly, of Emlen Street, Ipswich, pleaded guilty when he appeared before the town’s magistrates to criminal damage and being drunk and disorderly.
Prosecutor Simon Bravery said the incident occurred at around 10.40pm on October 18.
Brolly, 59, was causing a nuisance in the Case is Altered public house in Woodbridge Road and was escorted out of the premises by friends.
However, shortly afterwards a window of the premises was smashed.
Brolly was arrested around 30 minutes later. When a police officer spoke to him Brolly swore about the staff in the pub, claiming he had done nothing.
