A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after his car careered through two fences before coming to rest in the grounds of Ipswich Hospital.
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after his car careered through two fences before coming to rest in the grounds of Ipswich Hospital.
Police were called to Woodbridge Road East at 4.10am following reports of a crash.
When they arrived they found the black Ford Fiesta had flattened two fences on the grounds of West Villa near the rear entrance of the hospital and the driver, a 20-year-old from Kesgrave, stood nearby.
The man gave a positive breath test at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.
He was taken to Ipswich Hospital and was today being held at Ipswich police station.
