A car flipped onto its roof after a road accident in Chilton Street this morning.
Firefighters from Long Melford and Haverhill were called to the scene of the accident on the B1063 at about 9.31am.
When they arrived they discovered a vehicle on its roof and used specialist cutting equipment to free the driver from their car.
An ambulance crew has taken the driver to West Suffolk Hospital by ambulance with minor back injuries according to a Suffolk police spokeswoman.
The spokeswoman said a diversion was set up but recovery crews have arrived to remove the Vauxhall Corsa from the scene. The road is expected to be reopened shortly.
