A MAN who drowned in a river after getting into difficulties while swimming has been named.Suffolk police have confirmed 40-year-old Stewart Toll, of Burrell Road, Ipswich, died after jumping into the River Orwell on Tuesday.
A MAN who drowned in a river after getting into difficulties while swimming has been named.
Suffolk police have confirmed 40-year-old Stewart Toll, of Burrell Road, Ipswich, died after jumping into the River Orwell on Tuesday.
Three police officers had tried in vain to resuscitate Mr Toll on the towpath of the river at Grafton Way after pulling him from the water.
He later died in Ipswich Hospital.
