THREE more people are in custody today following a drug raid in Thetford, Norfolk.The arrests were made this morning on the second day of raids as part of an operation to crack down on Class A drug dealers in the area.

ELEVEN people are set to appear in court tomorrow on drug charges following raids in Thetford, Norfolk

Five people were arrested this morning on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs, on the second day of raids, which are part of an operation to crack down on Class A drug dealers in the area.

On Tuesday police arrested seven people after descending on eight properties in Thetford.

Eleven people, eight men and three women, were charged with the supplying of Class A drugs and one person was released on bail.

Supt Nick Dean, of Norfolk Police, said: “I can assure people that these types of operations will continue over the next few weeks.

“We will continue to use all the necessary tactics to target offenders and take them off the streets.”

Large quantities of heroin, cannabis and other drugs paraphernalia were seized during the raids.

All those charged are due to appear in Thetford Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning.
