A dry and bright day of weather has been predicted for our region, but southeasterly winds are likely to strengthen by afternoon – especially around the coast.

It will feel pleasant in sunnier inland areas, where temperatures could get up to 13C.

Tonight will start dry with clear periods, but cloud could increase towards dawn, with outbreaks of rain gradually pushing into the southwest.

It will remain windy around the coast as temperatures fall to 6C.

Cloud and outbreaks of rain will gradually clear northeast on Thursday, with brighter and drier conditions following to most places through the afternoon, and just the odd shower in the west of the region.

Friday looks bright in the west, but cloudier in east, with rain at times, turning much colder into Saturday and Sunday, with snow showers and a strong, bitterly cold easterly wind predicted.
