POLICE today issued an efit picture of a man who was seen strolling around naked in Trimley St Mary.

After The Evening Star publicised an appeal for information on behalf of investigating officers, a woman came forward to say that she had seen the man on several occasions in the village.

Now officers have released the computer-generated efit of him in a bid to trace him.

He is described as white, in his 40s to early 50s, of slim build, around 5ft 7ins tall and with receding hair, which was long at the back.

A police spokeswoman said the latest sighting of the man was around lunchtime on Monday August 11 near the railway station.

A 23-year-old man was walking home across common land at the end of Station Road around midday when he was approached by the man.

He said: “Nothing was said and the 23-year-old continued on his way.

“When the 23-year-old walked back along the same route around 1.15pm he saw the same man wearing a tight pair of cycling shorts. This time he spoke, but again the 23-year-old continued on his way.”

Officers are treating the incident as indecent exposure and are appealing for the man to get in touch with them - and for other witnesses who may have seen his strange behaviour to come forward.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to call Pc Mark Hurrell at Felixstowe on 01473 613500
