E-fit plea over post office robbery

DETECTIVES investigating a robbery at a Suffolk sub-post office have issued this e-fit of a man they wish to trace in connection with the incident.

DETECTIVES investigating a robbery at a Suffolk sub-post office have issued this e-fit of a man they wish to trace in connection with the incident.

Two people entered the premises in Hacheston just before 8.50am on Friday, May 23 and threatened the manager with a knife. He was taken to a toilet, a plastic bag was put over his head and his mouth was taped up.

An undisclosed amount of money was then taken. The e-fit shows a white male, about 5ft 11in tall, with dark cropped hair and wearing a blue fleece, blue tracksuit bottoms, and trainers.

Police are also trying to trace a second person of similar height who wore dark clothing.

Det Sgt Kevin Hayward is appealing for anyone recognising the description to get in touch.

He said: "We would like to hear from anyone who thinks they know who he is and we urge anyone who may have travelled through Hacheston between 8.30am and 8.50am on that Friday to call us.''
