Throughout the summer and autumn, this newspaper has been encouraging teams to sign up to its big Club Together giveaway.

Anyone – from parents and grandparents, to club secretaries and treasurers – has been able to support their local team in the campaign.

All clubs that have registered and collect 1,000 tokens will qualify for £1,000 worth of football equipment.

The top three clubs with the most tokens, calculated on a pro rata basis based on the number of club members, will win prizes of £1,500, £1,000 and £500.

The aim of Club Together has been to give a cash boost to under-eight to under-18 boys and girls football clubs affiliated with the Suffolk FA.

But like all good things, the campaign will come to an end today (Friday, October 19) when we print the final token in the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star.

Richard Neal, Suffolk FA chief executive, said the campaign would “benefit boys’ and girls’ youth teams in the county”.

Alex Shipp, marketing and communications officer of the Suffolk Youth League, said at the start of the campaign: “We are thrilled that the EADT and Ipswich Star are doing this and we know it will be hugely beneficial to all clubs involved.”

Once the tokens have been counted, clubs will need to email their total to debbie.noye@archant.co.uk with their club name in the subject line.

They will also need to send a daytime telephone number and the total number of Club Together tokens, alongside the number of registered players at the club.

Please send over your total by Friday, November 2 and keep hold of your tokens as these will need to be verified.

A spokesman for Archant, publisher of the EADT and the Ipswich Star, said: “Thank you to all the clubs that have taken part and Total Football, Suffolk FA and Ipswich Fit for their support.”
