A project that has seen an unkempt woodland transformed into an outdoor learning space has been awarded a £6,000 grant.
Eden-Rose Coppice Trust received the Working Together prize from Suffolk Community Foundation in recognition of its partnerships with other organisations and commitment of volunteers in developing Brickmakers Wood.
Stephen Singleton, CEO of Suffolk Community Foundation, said: “We are so pleased to manage this fund on behalf of Suffolk County Council and to recognise so many wonderful groups across Suffolk.”
The wood is used as an outdoor retreat for people suffering from life-threatening illnesses; support for young people with special educational needs; and a learning space for pupils from special schools.
