PARAMEDICS treated an elderly couple for shock after a road accident in Ipswich.
The accident happened just after 9am in St Peter's Street and resulted in four cars being damaged.
An elderly couple, driving a red, K-registered Metro, were travelling towards the Novotel Hotel when the accident happened.
It is believed the male driver of the Metro was taken ill while behind the wheel and hit a red Peugeot 306 parked outside the I-scream parlour in St Peter's Street.
A Volvo estate was also hit by the Metro and had its headlights broken and a blue BMW had its front number plate knocked off by the Volvo estate following the impact.
Nobody was seriously injured in the accident but the elderly couple were taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
