POLICE in Essex are renewing their appeal for witnesses after a pedestrian involved in a crash died in hospital at the weekend. Harold Mickelson, 86, was taken to hospital after he was struck by a silver Ford Connect van on March 12 in Station Road, Leigh-on-Sea.

Harold Mickelson, 86, was taken to hospital after he was struck by a silver Ford Connect van at 10.25am on March 12 in Station Road, Leigh-on-Sea. Yesterday he died in hospital.
Police would like to speak to a smartly dressed man who helped at the scene.
