FIREFIGHTERS have rescued an elderly man in a wheelchair from his home in Essex.
FIREFIGHTERS have rescued an elderly man in a wheelchair from his home in Essex.
The man, who was thought to be around 90 to 95 years old, was trapped in his house in Earls Colne, near Colchester, after his sofa caught alight at about 4.05pm last night.
By 4.40pm the fire was fully extinguished.
