Transport police were called after reports a man suffered an electric shock while trespassing in the goods yard near Ipswich railway station.
The man was said to have been climbing on top of a freight train when he grabbed the overhead wires on Friday evening. Staff and passengers are believed to have seen the incident, according to reports.
A Network Rail spokesman said: “Network Rail alerted British Transport Police to a trespass incident in Ipswich late on Friday evening.
“We’d like to remind the public of the serious dangers of trespassing anywhere on the railway.”
British Transport Police was unavailable for comment.
