Suffolk author Ruth Fitzgerald joined Father Christmas at Broomhill Library in Ipswich to celebrate the festive season at its annual fayre.
More than 200 people gathered at the library for the occasion, to take part in games, crafts and activities, as well as the chance to chat to Father Christmas himself.
Suffolk author Ruth Fitzgerald, who penned the Emily Sparkes series of children’s books was also on hand to meet excited families and enjoy the festivities.
The event raised £250 for the Friends of Broomhill Library, which will go towards plans to create an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities at the venue.
A library spokesman said: “The event was very successful and even spread some festive cheer to the nearby care home. The library reached out to the local Sherrington House Care Home with Father Christmas also visiting residents to give them a present.”
