A HADLEIGH business is beginning work on a £1.25million building expansion as a result of a boost from increased awareness of global warming issues.

Recent Government legislation aimed at reducing global warming has resulted in a surge in orders for insulation products from Hadleigh based Celotex.

This week they have begun work on their new building expansion programme to meet this demand.

Richard Pemberton, Celotex chief executive, said: “We are predicting significant growth in our business as the pressure to become more environmentally conscious grows and new legislation takes effect.

“Where possible we are using local contractors to put up the new facility, which is part of our wider development programme.

Celotex has been based in Hadleigh for more than 80 years and produces insulation boards which help to improve energy efficiency in a home or building and contribute towards reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

The new warehouse building will be opened by the end of this year.
