Essex motorcyclist killed in collision

A 43-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike was in collision with a horse box at Bell Lane, Great Bardfield in Essex today.

The accident happened just before 2pm and the road was closed while traffic police investigated the cause.

A police spokesman said the dead rider is believed to be a local man.
