Police have arrested three people after a man was taken to hospital with serious stabbing injuries from Jaywick near Clacton.

A man was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds, after being found near the Post Office in Beach Road, at around 11.40am on Wednesday morning.

Police would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have been near Beach Way, Broadway, Tamarisk Road, the promenade or the beach itself, around the time of the incident. It is believed the attack happened in or near to Beach Way.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to hospital in a life threatening condition. He is now stable and no longer in a life threatening condition, but remains in hospital.

Two men, aged 43 and 26, and a 44-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and are in custody. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ds Tim Coyles at Clacton CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
