SNOW began falling in Essex this morning with reports of the A133 in Clacton being congested and flurries in Manningtree and Tendring village.
Police said there had been a couple of minor accidents but no reports of major incidents caused by the freezing weather.
Some schools in the county have been closed including Tendring Primary School, Two Village Primary in Ramsey and The Stanway School in Colchester.
