GET your pooches at the ready for a woofing good time.

All four-legged friends listen up - the second Suffolk Dog Day is coming so get your paws preened and prepare to prance round the ring in one of the many classes.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 8 at Helmingham Hall.

After the success of last year, a “fantastic fundraiser” for The Suffolk Foundation, organisers are howling out the message “hours of canine capers are promised and this year there are even more classes with some great themes.”

From puppy classes to strutting your mutt on the catwalk, there are classes to suit every pup and pooch.

Chairdog Jacqui Mayne said: “It will be a great day out for all the family.

“And what better way to raise funds for a worthwhile charity than by having fun in the fresh air with your best friends!”

There will also be a separate agility ring with celebrity guest Peter Purves from The Champion of Crufts on the BBC, providing the commentary on the day.

The day will get started at 10.30am and there will be lots to sniff out before the classes begin.

Throughout the day there will also be a dog scurry to take on, and treat yourself delicious refreshments, with a hog roast and the Adnams Boat Bar on site.

And jump at the chance to browse the various side stalls, offering all sorts of fun dog related accessories.

The Best of Suffolk Champions Parade will show off all the winners from the various classes, in a culmination to the fun packed event.

As part of the price of your ticket you can also gain access to the beautiful gardens that surround the stunning hall.
