Ipswich’s Christchurch Park is hosting its yearly firework extravaganza tomorrow evening - here is everything you need to know.

Where?

The fireworks are being held at Christchurch Park in Ipswich.

You can enter the park from the following entrances:

Soane Street: Very near to the town centre.

Bolton Lane: Near to the Woolpack Public House.

Westerfield Road: Easy access from the Valley Road roundabout

Park Road: Walking distance from Henley Road traffic lights.

Fonnereau Road: Adjacent to Bethesda Church, nearest to the town centre and bus station.

When?

The firework display will take place on Saturday, November 4.

The gates will open at 6pm but the fireworks won’t start until 8pm.

However there will be family fun throughout until 10pm.

How much?

You can buy tickets online for a reduced price if you buy them today, November 3.

The online tickets if purchased today will cost you £6.50 for an adult ticket and £4.50 for a child ticket.

You can also buy tickets on the gate, for an adult ticket it is £8 and for a child £6.

Getting there and car parks

Public transport

Ipswich buses will have extra staff working so they can provide additional services from Tower Ramparts.

First Direct are not offering any extended or additional services but they will be using larger vehicles.

There are no extended Park and Ride facilities available for the evening. Normal park and ride services will be in place but end at 7pm.

Car parks

If you are driving there will not be any parking spaces available at the park however, off-street parking and local car parks are available nearby.

All Ipswich Borough Council car parks will be open and operating their usual opening hours.

Disabled parking facilities

A limited amount of space is available at the park. Users will need to obtain an event vehicle pass for the event.

All occupants of the vehicle will require admission tickets or to pay on the night.

Things to do

There will be a funfair, catering stalls and a bar from 6-10pm.

At 6.30pm on the Open Stage ,Funky Voices and The Emma Dodd School of Performing Arts will be performing.

At 6.45pm on the Main Stage, East Anglia’s premier soul and funk band Soul Riot will take to the stage with Essex and Suffolk’s award-winning choir Funky Voices and professional female vocalist Chelsea Francis.

Alchemy Fireworks puts on their musical firework extravaganza at 8pm.

The new and exciting Big Heads parade will be entertaining all evening, as well as the fire juggling act Tri Fie R.

There will also be a roaring bonfire throughout the evening.

The park then closes at 10pm.
