Three libraries in Suffolk will be taking part in a display from the Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibition at the British Library.

Suffolk Libraries has partnered with the British Library to run an exhibition of images from the British Library’s display, which celebrates the roots of the Harry Potter series with the history of magic and folklore.

The touring display will be at Ipswich County Library from October 20-December 4, before moving on to Haverhill Library from December 8-31 and stopping at Felixstowe Library between January 5 and February 5.

The major exhibition is on display at the British Library as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the first book’s publication.

Paul Howarth from Suffolk Libraries said: “J K Rowling’s Harry Potter books are steeped in real magical folklore and books on so this subject are always popular in Suffolk, so this was a fantastic opportunity to gather together titles.”
