AS preparations for the 30th anniversary celebration of Ipswich Town's FA Cup win continue, a leading Suffolk printing firm today unveiled the sought-after tickets to the event.

The May 5 Bank Holiday party will include an open top bus ride through the town, a gala dinner and a screening of the highlights of the match which will be beamed out across the Cornhill.

The entire squad of Wembley heroes, including former Blues boss Sir Bobby Robson, will return to Suffolk to mark their achievements.

With only ten days to go until the party begins, the exclusive tickets for the event have been printed.

John Cocker, from printing firm Five Castles, based at Raeburn Road South in Ipswich, said: “We've printed 400 tickets for the gala dinner and hopefully it will be a great evening.

“We have done the job at cost price which is our way of giving something to a great project.”

Mr Cocker, a Town fan, added: “I can still remember the cup final. I was down on the Cornhill the day after and it was fantastic.

“It was a big thing for Ipswich and it pulled the whole town together - the cup win really put Ipswich on the map.”

While all the tickets to the meal have already sold out, there are still places available for the after-dinner celebrations, allowing fans to enjoy interviews with the players and their very own finely reproduced cup final programme.

To secure your ticket, call the Corn Exchange box office on 01473 433100.

Fans can also soak up the celebratory atmosphere by converging on the Cornhill, where thousands are expected to welcome the players at 5pm.
