Factory closure may send jobs to Suffolk

JOBS are set to be transferred to Suffolk today after a frozen food company announced plans to halt production in one of its factories.

JOBS are set to be transferred to Suffolk today after a frozen food company announced plans to halt production in one of its factories.

Birds Eye's factory in Hull is set to close later in the year and around 600 will be lost.

However staff will be given the opportunity to transfer to Lowestoft where the company also has a factory which may bring more people to the costal town.
