These pictures from The Falcon Inn Pub will evoke fond memories for many from 1973
Opened in 18th century, this picture gallery shows the many punters who frequented it in 1973, revealing just how popular it was back in its heyday!
As the Falcon, the pub was operated for many years by pubs group Punch and there was brewery based on the same site, for many years until the middle of the 19th Century it closed in 1925 and site is now a multi-storey car-park.
Situted on Falcon Street. for most of its history it has been known as The Falcon which is were the name comes from, but since the turn of the current century it has also operated as the Tonic Bar and Lounge and Pl@tinum, before it was re-named Bowman’s in November 2010.
It closed in November 2017, after Bowmans Club and Bar went into liquidation, but it re-opened in April this year under new management, and no longer includes Bowmans Club on Falcon Street.
