IPSWICH: Loved-ones today remain at the hospital bedside of a seriously injured man who was allegedly attacked by a gang in the town.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to the suspected assault, which left the 46-year-old seriously ill in Ipswich Hospital.
As reported in The Evening Star yesterday, a group of around six people allegedly set upon him with baseball bats and iron bars outside a flat in Back Hamlet.
His condition is said to have improved since he was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his arms and head.
Investigators believe a form of “edged weapon” may have been used to inflict the wounds but have so far ruled out a stabbing.
Police were called to the scene outside the converted GM building at around 10.35pm on Sunday night.
