Family pay tribute to crash victim
A PEDESTRIAN who died after he was in collision with a car has today been identified.
A PEDESTRIAN who died after he was in collision with a car has today been identified.
Richard Henry Cook, 56, from Great Cornard, near Sudbury, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was involved in the accident on Kings Hill in Great Cornard, near Sudbury, yesterday at about 8.30pm.
Mr Cook's family has released the following statement: “Richard, who was known to most as Henry, was a great brother and uncle who lived life to the full.
“He would help anybody in a muddle and was a very caring man. He loved his football and sports but most of all his family. He will be sadly missed by everybody that knew him.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident, which involved a purple Ford Fiesta.
Three ambulances attended the scene of the crash and police blocked off the road to traffic while they dealt with the incident.
