The family of a “kind-hearted” 19-year-old father who died in a road crash last month have paid tribute to him.
Darnell Meade, of Needham Market, died on the afternoon of April 24 when he collided on his motorcycle with two other vehicles on Norwich Road, Barham. In a statement, Mr Meade’s family said: “Darnell S Meade’s life was cut short.
“He was the partner of Sorrell Chatfield and a doting father of a beautiful 19 month old daughter Brooklyn.
“Born in Leeds May 6, 1995, he was son of Iona and Gregory. He was eagerly training and pursing his career as a very talented chef, passing his level 1 and 2 during the last 18 months. He worked hard as part of the team of the Lion Pub in Needham Market.
“He took advantage of every opportunity offered to him, accepting increasing responsibilities and expanding his job role. Besides being a father, grandson, godson, nephew, step-son, cousin and friend to many, he leaves his little sister and young brother behind.
“His laughter, wise words, optimistic attitude, kind heart and warm smile touched the lives on many near and far. His strong spirit and wild side will always live on and will never be forgotten by those who loved him.”
