SCOTT Towler's heartbroken family today told of the loss of their best friend whose death they will never overcome.

Scott and his friend Dean Bloomfield were fatally injured when they were hit by a car in Fore Hamlet, Ipswich on Friday.

The loss to the 15-year-old's families and schoolfriends is immeasurable.

Throughout the past four days the scene of the crash has been turned into a shrine with around 200 poignant floral tributes now laid at the roadside in an astonishing outpouring of grief.

Scott's mum Trish King and sister Denise today paid a moving joint tribute to the youngster who meant so much to all his family.

"Scott was a fun loving boy whom loved life with a great sense of humour, always very thoughtful, a listener and adventurous," it read.

"Scott was very popular with a large circle of friends. He liked to play snooker/pool at Riley's, football, going to the cinema and hanging out at their den!

When he came home from school he was always in a big rush to get changed and eat his dinner in five minutes flat so he could be out and about again with his friends. If he could eat lasagne seven days a week he would.

Scott was focused and knew what he wanted to do when he left school next year. He wanted to work in the field of Leisure and Tourism so he could travel the world preferably as a holiday rep.

Scott loved cars he knew everything abut them, he liked anything technical especially taking things apart and rebuilding them and he has done this from an early age. He loved his computer, Playstation and his favourite music was Drum and Bass.

His favourite TV programmes were Robot Wars, Scrapheap Challenge, Simpsons and all documentaries on wildlife and history.

Scott was not only a son and brother but he was our best friend and the void he has left in our lives can never be filled.

All our plans, hopes and dreams for the future will never be fulfilled now as his life has been stolen from us.

The whole family feel so devastated and the pain is unbearable, knowing he is never going to walk in and leave the gate open for his mum to yell "close that gate" to see his smile and the laughter in his big blue eyes or to hold him in our arms and love him.

His cousin Lynsey wrote these words of comfort for his mum and sister, which we would like to share with you all.

Someone, somewhere

Dreams of your smile

And while thinking of you

They say life is worthwhile

So when you are lonely

Remember it's true

Someone, somewhere, is thinking of you.

As everyone can appreciate this is an extremely difficult time for the whole family and we all hope you can respect our need for privacy at this time."
