COLCHESTER Zoo is suggesting a Valentine's Day present with a bit of bite this February.
The zoo is hoping loved-up couples might chose to adopt an Amur Tiger as a gift instead of the usual chocolates and flowers.
A spokeswoman for the zoo said: “The zoo's pair of Amur Tigers, Anoushka and Igor, are inseparable and are very much in love!
“They can often be seen sitting together and playing together at their enclosure.
“Anoushka and Igor hit it off immediately and now hate to be separated. It is very much hoped that they will breed for the first time this year.”
