ROBBIE Williams fans in Suffolk will be in for a dream time tomorrow when they get the chance to lie on their idol's bed and raise money for charity.

Sadly, Robbie himself will not be in it but just the chance of lying where he has once been should be enough for some.

The 8ft bed will be on show at the Asda store in Ipswich and has been donated by Lorraine Palmer who won it after entering a competition in a national newspaper.

Ardent fans or even just people in need of a sit down while they do the shopping can pay £1 to lie on the bed that has been signed by their pop hero.

All the money will then go to Tickled Pink breast cancer campaign.

Lorraine's husband Chris is a baker at the store, which is why they approached the couple to get involved in the fundraising.

Lorraine, 21, from Hurricane Place, in Ipswich, said: "Asda approached me and I thought it was a really good idea so the money could go to a good cause."

The mother of two-year-old Ronan said she could not believe it when she was told she had won the bed earlier this year.

She said: "I have been a fan of Robbie since Take That started.

"It was quite strange really, I didn't know what to think when they told me I had won it."

The bed is too big to get up the stairs in Lorraine and Chris's house on the new Ravenswood estate and at the moment is lying in bits in their living room.

She has only had one chance to lie on it and that was when her photo was taken by the newspaper she won it from.

Lorraine said: "I will be quite sad to see it go, but also quite glad because it means I get my front room back."

Following tomorrow's fundraiser, Lorraine is planning to advertise the bed on the Internet for other fans to have a chance to buy it.

Shirley Cook, personnel clerk at the Asda store in Goddard Road said they were all hoping for a really good day tomorrow.

She said: "We have had Robbie Williams posters donated from Virgin as well.

"I think it should go really well."

The store is running fundraising events for the next two weeks and on Saturday manager Tim Sparrow will be showing off his line dancing skills for all the customers.

n The bed will be on show between 1.30pm and 5pm tomorrow – anyone wanting their picture taken will have to provide their own cameras.
