A TEENAGER who died after a car crash in Essex has been named.
Damien Quill's blue Fiat Cinquecento was involved in a collision with a black VW Golf on the Alresford Road near Colchester at about 8.45pm on Tuesday.
Firefighters cut the 17-year-old from his car and he was taken to Colchester General Hospital by ambulance and was then transferred to a specialist head injuries unit at Queen's Hospital in Romford, Essex.
A police spokesman said the teenager, who comes from Purfleet, had died on Saturday.
The 27-year-old driver of the Golf, from Clacton, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
