WITH Christmas fast-approaching and shops already putting up their seasonal displays, a number of seasonal cards featuring the resort are going on sale.
The first of these is a seafront scene in the snow, which is being sold to raise funds for the League of Friends of Felixstowe's Hospitals.
John Barratt of the Card Centre in Hamilton Road has commissioned the card, using an original watercolour by local artist Simon Peachey.
All profit from the sale of the cards – which can be bought exclusively from the Card centre with a pack of ten costing £4.50 – will go towards equipment and extra comforts for the patients of the General Hospital and the Bartlet.
"We are grateful to John for his continued generosity and support. Last year we were more than £400 better off because of it," said Joan Sennington, chairman of the league of friends.
